Goran Berndtsson
Goran Berndtsson; born and educated in Sweden. My international work began in 1978-81, when he was offered the post as Site Manager at a construction project in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
In 1981 I emigrated to Australia with my Family, Flisa my wife and two children lngela and Kim.
My career in the field of respiratory protection began in 1984, in Australia, where I founded and established the then fledgling enterprise that was later to become the world-wide organization known as The S.E.A. Group with offices and supply networks in Australia, Europe and North America.
I have been a standing member of the Australian Standards Committee SF10 for well over 20 years, and played an instrumental role in developing new Respiratory Protection Standards in Australia and New Zealand.
Internationally, I am an active representative on the ISO/TC94/SC15 committee, and serves on several working groups and subcommittees.
As a result of my extensive research and experience with respirator field testing, I have on numerous occasions presented papers of research on NIOSH public meetings in regard to the new CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear) standard of this country.
I am a member of several occupational safety organisations around the world, and has been Vice President, and President of the International Society for Respiratory Protection.
I have been leading the team developing the world first Positive Pressure Demand PAPR and I am holding four Patents describing the technique for this device. I am an American resident and have lived in America since 2000.
Retired in 2008 and moved to Dubois, Wyoming 2009.
